Plans For The Weekend?

1/16/2013 01:44:00 PM

The Louisiana Marathon is a weekend of festivities centered around healthy living, southern culture, south Louisiana music, food that is so unique and delicious it can only be found south of I-10 in the pelican state; and four races that include a 5K, a kids run, and a half and full marathon.

About two months ago I got a call from the Louisiana Marathon's Race Director, a long time friend, to assist with their marketing efforts. After a few phone calls I was on board and in disbelief at just how fantastic the entire Louisiana Marathon organization was. This year will be the second year for the Louisiana Marathon to run the streets of Baton Rouge, although you could never tell if you were to visit their website or Facebook page. It's the real thing! And I know why, the enthusiasm is downright contagious!!! I've been so blessed to be a part of this -- the race... the festival... the weekend... the organization.

If you are looking for a way to spend your Friday, Saturday or Sunday, don't miss The Louisiana Marathon weekend.  Besides, after all this rain we've been having in South Louisiana, you'll want to go outside for the weather God has in store for the weekend! Clear skies, sunshine, a temps in the 60s!

My second favorite thing about The Louisiana Marathon 2013?
The art print! It's absolutely beautiful.
If you look in the right of the middle third you can see the state capital building and the lower third has two pelicans. I love it, need it and will own it!

Doesn't it just make you want to go run at sunrise?
