I remember the ting of embarrassment I use to feel having to admit I was from such a huge immediate family, "I'm the third of seven children." Today, it is what I am most grateful for. Family is a blessing, the creation of an institution that can only be brought to life by a man and wife (a dad and mom) teaming together to make a house and home, to make individual live's into a loving family.

But, that's neither or nor there...

Today's Sunday Currently comes to you for a beautiful sunny beach resort in Pensacola, Florida.

wishing Summer days would least forever. These long, hot days of summer are absolutely my favorite stretch of each year. We've enjoyed warm days full of laughter with extended family at a beach report this last week. There is truly nothing like it.

hoping that we get a chance to see some of my favorites over the next few days. wearing swimsuits every day for the last 4 days. (Blog post idea: a compare and contrast of one-piece vs. bikinis, they really both have their perks)

loving family dinners and vacation game nights (even though I will never be very good at Taboo and David will always be awesome at it - how does he always end up on the other team.)

photo editing: family pictures & newborns, with any luck you'll see at least one photo session post later this week)

grateful for family, of all kinds. Moms and dads and aunts and a uncles and grandmas and mimis and pawpaws and brothers and sisters and cousins - the whole lots.

writing in my moleskin journal on the daily.  I have a new companion, my moleskin, that holds all of my daily to do lists and random spikes of inspiration.  It has become so much apart of my routine that I know where it is more times than I know where my keys are. hahaha #truth 

listening to my "Lucky Summer Playlist" on Spotify, on repeat. Made in 2012, with an hour and 49 minutes of play time this playlist has some favorites that just don't get old, like Tay Swift's, "22" and Lorde's, "Royals". It's a combination of laziness and why-fix-it-if-its-not-broken that has kept this playlist alive.  I'll admit though, there are some pretty good summer tunes that are new to 2014. Including Florida-Georgia Line's remake of "I'm in a Hurry."   Mixed feelings about FGL, but they make good music. 

eating Salads with coleslaw mixed in. It's David and I's new favorite salad add-on.  Not very good as the entire salad mix, but delicious when you add some spinach, cucumber, fresh tomatoes, black olives and dried cranberries.     

smelling Fresh coffee as I type this out a day ahead of time. (Inside Secret: I am beginning to believe the key to regular blog posts is "pre-writing" but I really, really need to get ahead on posts! I'd love to know other bloggers posting schedules and thoughts on this topic!) 

wishing my kitchen would clean itself, always. 

hoping that David has a wonderful Birthday week.  That's right folks, David is one year older this Friday, July 4th. (I wish I got fireworks every year for my birthday. LOL)

wearing the same clothes over and over again. I need to go shopping so much. 

loving that Spill Love's Facebook received more that 85 likes this week. It's so exciting and nerve wracking to be a business owner. 

wanting (see above "wearing" - I don't even know what I want besides a good $5000 to spend on clothes and home decor.)

photographing my newest nephew this week for his newborn pictures!!  Congratulation's Ashley & Matt on your new arrival, Benjamin Louis Billeaud.  Now I can say "Nieces & Nephews!!!!" Notice the "s" on the end of Nephew. Looking forward to getting to know #babybenjybilleaud.

grateful for my talented brother-in-law at FiveAngels Woodworks and the beautiful bookcase he's building for our home. (Have you seen the pictures?) 

writing a few things: to do lists for everything from work, house chores, week goals, a website, retail spreadsheets for a "client". I have so much on my mind, if I don't write it down it will be forgotten. The challenge is keeping it all organized. 
listening to the TV in the background when I'm at the house getting things done. I find there are certain shows that just calm my anxiety and ease my mind by simply being on the TV, even if I have no intention of sitting down to watch them. 
eating things I shouldn't lately. I must have a "clean" week this week. My body is screaming for it.  
smelling Fall. How fantastic is this cooler weather setting in?
wishing I could work from home way more often. There is something I love about being at my house with the little dog Sam, in lounge clothes, being productive. 
hoping this week is as productive as I need it to be. That is all. I just want to get all of my to do's completed. That's not too much to ask, right?  
wearing sweat pants and an over-sized tshirt, there is nothing quite as wonderful as lazy clothes when there's a little chill in the air. 
loving the flowers that are surrounding my house after the "Baby Party" we had at the house yesterday! Yellow coronations, roses, and baby's breathe are everywhere. (see pictures below)
wanting to spend some time with a good friend who I haven't seen in weeks because of our busy schedules. She is one of those friends who makes me feel completely at ease and in my element. I have been feeling a bit out of my element lately, she has a way of bringing me back 'home'.
wondering what life would be like if a few things changed and how realistic those changes may or may not be. 
photographing more lately, but not enough.

grateful (I always say this, but it's the truth) for my husband. My wonderful husband. I use to think it was cliche' to say that you love them more every day, but it's just the truth...we have grown together so much. He is my best friend and it never ceases to amaze me how much he understands me. 

Well hey there. Two posts in two days, I realize it's the weekend, but still a small victory. I think the trick is keeping my workspace accessible by leaving my Mac opened and plugged in on the desk. That way, all I need to do to write a blog is sit down and start. It's a bit odd to me how little tiny things can make life so much easier -- kind of like cleaning the kitchen right when dinner is over, instead of putting it off and then having to stay up just to load the dishwasher. 

With that being said, I captured a pretty sunset when we were visiting the beach a few weekends ago. I thought they were too pretty not to share. 




















My husband's family was so sweet to treated us to a long weekend at Portofino Beach Resort in Pensacola, Florida. It's where I experienced the sunsets and where we took this family picture. Let me tell you, wind and hair with bangs is quite a challenge, which you can clearly see in about 8 other shots of this picture.

wearing a hair donut that is forming my hair into a really voluptuous bun.  It's pretty much one of my new favorite things. 
wanting to finish our office. It's been the most neglected room in the house, mostly because I want it to be inspiring and well put together so I postpone purchasing things in fear they will conflict with my ultimate vision. We need a book case, a seating area, wall hanging filer, and a desk chair...just to name a few things. 
photographing action and life. It's my un-declared project lately. Capturing life in action and showcasing so it feels like you are in the moment byway of the picture. It seems so simple in concept... 
grateful for the Lord's mercy, grace and forgiveness. And the power of prayer.

reading  Southern Cross, Part 3 of The Eric Solomon Mysteries, by Jen Blood. The first two mystery novels held my attention so tightly that once I picked them up I become somewhat of a recluse as I diligently sped through the 200+ page novels in record breaking speed (my personal record, anyways). I figure I'm obligated to finish the third before the forth comes out in August.  But, I have to admit I'm a little bit nervous to proceed, let's just say that don't call them murder mysteries for nothing.
listening to Michael Franti radio courtesy of Pandora, primary as my running soundtrack. 
eating healthier these days. I've been doing what I can to eliminate mass amounts of sugar from my diet, especially the processed kind. Granted, being on vacation is not exactly making that easy.
drinking I've been on vacation a lot in July. So, yes, drinking is something that has been a normal activity. In hopes to find something with a little less sugar than margaritas, I've been blending fruit, ice and a little goose for a refreshing little drink during the hot vacation days. 
smelling the after-rain air of Lake Martin, Alabama. The rain has just passed so there's a bit of a nip in the air, especially considering it's mid July. Looking forward to come quality time on the boat today, overcast skies or not. 
wishing vacation was more of a permeant activity in my life. Although my day job has been going really well, being outside more often is something a physically crave on a regular basis. 
wearing swimsuits from AM to PM. 
loving that I've had the chance to sit down and write an entire blog entry with little distractions. 
wanting this week to last forever. 
wondering about nothing in particular. I'm at peace today, surrounded by David and my wonderful family. The most that's on my mind is when my sisters will be here with our nieces and nephew. 
photographing again. I hadn't really touched my camera in a month. I think I needed a break from things, but I missed it dearly. I'm back, and better than ever. My images are sharp and shooting in manual mode is finally something I am able to do with ease - sometimes. 
grateful for my family and the love that we all have for each other. I'm realizing more and more just how amazing it is that all seven of us siblings have love and genuine respect for each other. It's rare, I know.
hoping the rain goes away and the sun shines bright for the rest of the week. It is summer vacation after all and my pale, office dwelling skin needs the natural UVs of the sun.

And here's a picture of Brookie Cookie. She's such a cute little mess. Me and her were best buds all Friday and she was hamming up the camera. She says, "seee, seeeee" everytime you take a picture of her so she can see the picture of herself. She's learning how to use the camera and push buttons to see more pictures, I'm in trouble. :) 

There is no love compared to the love of an aunt! I promise.

writing grocery lists.
listening to the noise of sports talk TV in the background, as always. It's become a Sunday tradition, I write my Sunday Currently's, we catches up on a week of "Pardon the Interruption" on ESPN. 
eating pineapple. I'd forgotten how much I love fruit. Pineapples, red grapes, apples! I've added them all to my regular diet and it feels nice to have sugar that feels healthy. 
drinking water and a Sprite Zero. Kind of love a little carbonated treat and at least it's not a coke, right? LOL 
smelling the leftover scent of my perfume from the day. Philosophy's "Falling in Love" to be exact.  
wishing the weekend wasn't over yet. It's been an absolutely perfect weekend of family and friends. 
hoping that David and I order the sideboard for our kitchen that I have been drooling over for an entire week now. Furniture shopping is absolutely our kryptonite. In other words, it makes us both curl up in a little ball and say curse words when we have to talk about it. hahahahahaha So, considering we found something we both agree on and genuinely like is pretty much a miracle. 
wearing St. Patrick Day green jeans, of course. Who isn't in love with the colored jeans trend? 
loving My family. All of it. Husband. Sisters. Nieces. Godson. Parents. Brothers. I am so very, very blessed to have been born into such an amazing group of people. 
wanting just one more day of the weekend. 
wondering where we'll be in five years from now. Being around my sisters' babies gets me excited about what our little family will be like one day.

grateful that I have my husband to sleep next to tonight and every night. Being married is absolutely one of the simplest and most complicated joys of life.

Reading: Glamour Magazine. The one with Zooey Deschanel on the cover. I'm in love with her show, New Girl. Her character is like a poster child for being yourself. I'm sad the show didn't get much love on the Golden Globes -- but hey, they did get nominated!! 

Reading: Blogs again. It's inspiring to read what other people are thinking, talking, and writing about. I've compiled a nice combination of subscriptions for work-realted and life-related blogs. Newest favorite: 40:20vision.com
